I am in the process of figuring out what structure to use to create the forms I want. I want the forms to be soft, reminiscent of the human figure or parts of the human figure, and I also want them to have some volume (I want to have 3 from standing next to each other as the final piece). I struggle to make the forms have volume yet still look soft and organic. The lines are threads...

ReplyDeleteThis may be way off from what you had in mind, but your images reminded me of something I saw at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.

I'm not quite sure what the purpose of them was since the captions were in French, but I think they were a means of measuring angles and understanding perspective.
