For the Record: BEFORE

Since Thanksgiving Break, I've collected 4 more garments, making my amount of garments a total of 10 now. I suppose I'm done collecting, but that's subject to change according to process.

Anyway, I've finished photographing all the garments - making note of each item's brand name, material, handling, country of origin, size, and original price. I believe it's important for me to keep an organized record of everything prior to alteration. It will come useful for later comparison. More importantly, it's the introduction of the narrative.

(Note: The garments have assigned names. The intent is cut down any excess in narrative. Specific garments can be readily identified with names. No need for mundane, detailed descriptions. e.g. "that shiny, swirly, peach colored dress over there is..")

  3. It's tough- I'm still making decisions about the marketing. I don't want to call the project/line "re-purpose" or "re-chic" anymore, so I'm starting from scratch.

Here's the brief issue. "Brand Name" and "Company Name" should be different. The company name, for example, could just be my initials or a variation of my own name, while the name of the collection could be something more creative and representative of the style I'm going for.

    Some thoughts:

In terms of company name... I thought about my initials (MZN) or the shortened name "Maida Zelda". Creating an Alias is an option too.

Some words I've been thinking about for the line are... rags and riches (R|R) or (R+R), metamorphosia, glam, luxe rags, thrift couture, ugly beautiful, etc... more to come

  4. MZN reminds me of Amazon.

I like the idea of just naming the clothing line. Keep word-clouding!
